-Online calendars are calendars that can be accessed through the internet.
-online calendars are extremely useful to individual users who wish to view their schedules from a location where they have internet access (but not their main computer) as well as to groups that wish to coordinate activities together.
-A single administrator may invite multiple individuals to access an online calendar (private) or make the calendar available to anyone who wishes to view it (public).
-Depending on the functional capabilities of the chosen software, the administrator may be able to control group members' "privileges" – designating whether they may add, change or delete events on behalf of the group.
-Another neat feature of many online calendars, including Google's, is that they allow event creators to easily send invitations, receive RSVPs and set up automatic reminders for all attendees.
-Google also allows its calendar users to view multiple personal and group calendars on an overlapping "master calendar;" vastly improving scheduling efficiency and identifying time conflicts.
